Audio-Technica ATN81CP — Conical replacement stylus for the AT81CP cartridge

The ATN81CP is Audio-Technica's original replacement stylus for the AT81CP cartridge, the part that brings factory performance back to turntables fitted with this P-mount design. Only the stylus assembly is renewed: the body and the moving-magnet generator stay in place, so the swap takes seconds and leaves the arm alignment untouched.

Its 0.6 mil conical tip on a bonded round shank is the most forgiving profile in the range. A spherical contact patch meets the groove predictably even when the cartridge sits slightly off angle, which makes it a safe choice for second-hand records and pressings that are not always pristine. Recommended tracking force is 1.25 g, adjustable from 1.0 to 1.5 g, a light setting that keeps groove wear under control.

It fits the AT81CP and the P-mount bodies that share the same generator, including AT300P, AT3482, AT3482H/U, AT3482P and AT90CD. Audio-Technica rates stylus life at 300 to 500 hours; when sibilance hardens or the treble loses bite, the diamond is due for replacement. DOYMO supplies it on request.
