Four 6N-OFCC copper leads with 24K gold-plated tips and colour coding.
The AT6108 is a set of four leads that connect the cartridge to the headshell. They are the part that carries the signal from the stylus into the arm, and the quality of both conductor and contact has a direct effect on the final result, especially with moving-coil cartridges and advanced stylus profiles.
Each lead is made of 99.9999% pure 6N-OFCC oxygen-free copper, with a 0.12 mm core built from 29 strands, and ends in 24K gold-plated tips for a stable contact. The four leads are colour coded, which avoids mistakes when fitting the cartridge.
In practice they are the part that brings an old headshell back to life: stiff leads or hardened insulation cause noise, channel loss and intermittent contacts. Replacing them is a simple, inexpensive job that shows up in the cleanness of the sound.
