Audio-Technica AT-HS6SV — Silver aluminium headshell

The AT-HS6SV is the silver version of Audio-Technica's 9 g lightweight headshell: a die-cast aluminium body for four-pin cartridges, with a finger lift and a finish that matches light-toned arms and decks.

Die-cast aluminium keeps vibration to a minimum without adding unnecessary mass to the arm, which shows especially on low-mass arms and high-compliance cartridges. It includes four high-quality lead wires for loss-free signal transfer and ships with 16 mm and 10 mm mounting screws, nuts and washers. It measures 13.0 mm high, 21.4 mm wide and 48.9 mm deep.

In practice it works both to replace a worn headshell and to keep a second cartridge mounted and swap in seconds between a listening stylus and one for DJ use or 78 rpm records. The universal 1/2" mount fits most straight and S-shaped tonearms. The same part is available in black as the AT-HS6BK.
