Audio-Technica AT-HS6BK — Black aluminium headshell

The AT-HS6BK is a 9 g die-cast aluminium headshell in black, intended for four-pin turntable cartridges and for DJ and listening decks that want a light, tough part. Its shape and modest mass make it particularly suitable when cartridges are swapped often or when scratching.

The aluminium body keeps vibration to a minimum without adding unnecessary weight to the arm, and the integrated finger lift lets you drop the stylus exactly where you want it. It carries four high-quality lead wires for loss-free signal transfer and ships with a pair of 10 mm screws, a pair of 8 mm screws and washers. It measures 13.0 mm high, 21.4 mm wide and 48.9 mm deep.

In practice it is a direct replacement for a worn headshell and a handy second unit for keeping two cartridges mounted and swapping them in seconds. The universal 1/2" mount makes it compatible with most straight and S-shaped tonearms, and the black finish sits discreetly on dark arms. The same part is available in silver as the AT-HS6SV.
