MOON 461

The MOON 461 is a stereo power amplifier from the Compass series that inherits technology directly from the reference North Collection range. Its dual-mono architecture and MDCA (MOON Distortion-Cancelling Amplifier) topology are conceived to amplify the signal with the utmost purity, transparency and fidelity to the original recording.

Inside, each channel has its own independent MHP hybrid power supply, guaranteeing complete channel separation, zero crosstalk and a solid three-dimensional soundstage with outstanding dynamics. It delivers 150 W into 8 Ω and 300 W into 4 Ω per channel.

A mechanical switch on the rear panel lets you alternate between stereo, mono bi-amping or bridged mono operation, a mode in which it delivers 450 W into 8 Ω for systems that demand extraordinary power reserves.

The Compass series chassis, with its 2-tone finish and clean architectural lines, combines robust engineering with timeless aesthetics. Designed and hand-assembled in Canada, it is the ideal foundation for a high-performance high-fidelity system.
