Audio-Technica ATR1100X — Unidirectional dynamic vocal/instrument microphone

The ATR1100X is a handheld dynamic microphone tuned for clear, straightforward vocal and instrument reproduction. Its unidirectional polar pattern concentrates sensitivity in front of the capsule and rejects the sound arriving from behind, which is what keeps feedback under control in small rooms and on modest PA systems.

The on/off switch sits where the thumb reaches it, and the cable is a permanently attached 3 m run terminated in a 3.5 mm mini-jack, so the microphone plugs straight into a karaoke player, a computer or a mixer without extra adapters. The 6.3 mm adapter supplied covers the usual jack inputs on domestic amplifiers and powered speakers.
