The KEF R11 Meta is the flagship of the R Meta Series. Four 6.5" (165 mm) woofers join the 1"-5" Uni-Q array with Metamaterial Absorption Technology (MAT) in a 1249 mm tall cabinet. The total cone area is close to that of a much larger loudspeaker, which explains its 46 Hz response and 90 dB sensitivity: it fills large rooms without demanding an oversized power amplifier.
The Uni-Q layout keeps the tweeter at the acoustic centre of the midrange cone, producing a stable soundstage and a solid centre image, useful both in stereo and in a home cinema system. The four woofers share the bass workload, so each one moves less, distortion drops and the sound stays clean at high volume. Recommended amplifier power is 15 W to 300 W.
