KEF R8 Meta

The KEF R8 Meta is the height module of the R Meta Series, the piece that completes a Dolby Atmos setup. Its job is to fire sound upwards so that it reflects off the ceiling and reaches the listener from above, and to do that it uses a 1"-5.25" Uni-Q array (25 mm tweeter and 130 mm midrange cone) in a compact sealed cabinet that can be used in two ways: resting on top of an R Series floorstander, firing at the ceiling, or wall mounted as an effects speaker with the Uni-Q aimed at the listening position.

The cabinet measures 173.8 × 174 × 259 mm and weighs 4.45 kg, so it sits comfortably on almost any speaker in the series. It covers 105 Hz to 18.5 kHz with 86 dB sensitivity and a nominal 8 ohm load, and accepts amplifiers from 25 W to 150 W. Supplied with its grille.
