KEF R3 Meta

The KEF R3 Meta is a three-way bookshelf loudspeaker that brings the technology developed for the KEF Reference Series into a compact cabinet. Its Uni-Q array places the 25 mm vented aluminium dome tweeter at the acoustic centre of the 125 mm midrange cone, so both drivers radiate from a single point. The result is a very stable stereo image and a wide listening window: the sound does not fall apart when you move off axis.

The design includes Metamaterial Absorption Technology (MAT), an acoustic labyrinth that absorbs 99 % of the unwanted energy generated behind the tweeter. The 165 mm woofer works in a braced cabinet with a rear bass-reflex port, which lets the speaker reach down to 58 Hz while keeping the bass under control. With 87 dB sensitivity and a nominal 8 ohm load, it suits amplifiers from 15 W to 180 W.

It is available in four finishes: Black Gloss, White Gloss, Walnut and Indigo Gloss Special Edition. Sold as a pair.
