Active wireless bookshelf system with Uni-Q and MAT: 280 W + 100 W per channel, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth aptX, 192 kHz/24-bit DAC and subwoofer output.
The LS50 Wireless II takes the acoustics of the LS50 Meta and equips them with a complete amplification and streaming section, so no external amplifier is needed: only a mains socket and, if you wish, the network. Each cabinet carries its own electronics, with 280 W for the mid/bass and 100 W for the tweeter, and both speakers are linked wirelessly, so no cable crosses the room.
The 12th-generation Uni-Q array with MAT keeps the imaging and tonal balance of the passive model, while the digital stage handles high-resolution audio: a dedicated DAC per channel works up to 192 kHz/24 bit and the system accepts USB, Toslink optical, coaxial, analogue RCA, a 3.5 mm aux input, wired RJ45 and a subwoofer output for a 2.1 setup.
Everything is controlled from the KEF Connect app, which brings together Wi-Fi streaming at 2.4 and 5 GHz, Bluetooth 4.2 with aptX, and access to the main music services. It is a complete Hi-Fi system in a bookshelf format: amplifier, streamer, DAC and speakers in two sleek cabinets.
