KEF R7 Meta

The KEF R7 Meta sits in the middle of the R Meta Series: the floorstander that balances size, sensitivity and bass extension. It keeps the 1"-5" Uni-Q array with Metamaterial Absorption Technology (MAT) and adds two 6.5" (165 mm) woofers in a 1062 mm tall bass-reflex cabinet. It reaches down to 48 Hz and delivers 88 dB sensitivity, so it performs comfortably even with moderately powered amplifiers.

The Uni-Q places the tweeter at the acoustic centre of the midrange cone, which produces a coherent stereo image across the room and a wide soundstage for home cinema. MAT removes 99 % of the unwanted energy generated behind the tweeter, leaving the midrange cleaner and more detailed. Recommended amplifier power is 15 W to 250 W.
