KEF R6 Meta

The KEF R6 Meta is the reference centre channel of the R Meta Series, intended for home cinema systems where the centre speaker works alongside large floorstanders. It shares the 1"-5" Uni-Q array with Metamaterial Absorption Technology (MAT) and adds two 6.5" (165 mm) woofers in a deeper cabinet than the R2 Meta. The result is bass that reaches down to 64 Hz, so the centre channel handles the lower midrange as well as the voice.

The Uni-Q radiates from a single acoustic point, so dialogue arrives just as clearly at every seat and the transition between the centre and the main speakers stays even. MAT removes 99 % of the unwanted energy generated behind the tweeter: voices sound more natural and coloration is reduced. With 87 dB sensitivity and a nominal 8 ohm load, it accepts amplifiers from 15 W to 200 W.
